Skiing has been a major recreational activity for Steve since working at Alpental in the early 70's.

Lately, I've been introduced to Randonee (French for "Can't Telemark"), also known as Alpine Touring.  We use skins on our skis to walk up the mountain and then remove the skins, lock our bindings down, and enjoy the downhill.
I also enjoy lift-served skiing, mainly at Mission Ridge ski area. I skied more days in the 2010-11 season than I have in any of the last 15 or so seasons, and have a season's pass burning a hole in my pocket until the snow flies in the fall of 2011!
